Hi Community!

After concluding the initial integration and optimization our printer with a cloud 3D printing operating system, we’re happy to tell you more about  our partnership with 3DPrinterOS and share little bit about what it means. We believe this is a fantastic addition to the features of the Portrait 3D printer.

3D printers are even more useful when they are a shared, scalable and monitored resource. Our integration with this cloud-based service makes our printers much more attractive for using in education and print service bureaus.  You will not need to install software locally in order to use the printer, you could manage it from a tablet or even an old PC, as long as you have internet access. Using the cloud features is optional, you can ALWAYS use the printer in local mode without internet access.

Here are some of the exciting new features:

  • Management of multiple printers

  • Printer sharing

  • STL & Gcode editing and visualization

  • Design & Print file management and sharing

  • Cloud & Local slicing

  • Remote monitoring

  • Print queuing

  • Version controls

  • Permissions management

  • Data Tracking & Reporting

  • Filament tracking and billing

  • Customizable User Profile

  • Social sharing of successful prints

Features to be added in the following months:

  • Google Drive/Dropbox file upload support

  • Workgroup and organization statistics and analytics

We are very proud and excited about this integration and we can’t wait to hear about your experience!
